Saint-gobain PAM UK is accredited by the British Standards Institute to the BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Assurance scheme registered firm FM12908.
On an external basis, our Quality Engineers provide a pro-active service for customers in product training and installation.
The company operates a coordinated approach to quality across the company's three market sectors and six sites, working in line with Saint-Gobain Pipelines quality policy and quality manuals. Product quality is governed by expertise in the manufacturing process, and our goods also carry third party approvals such as the BSi Kitemark.
Rigorous internal quality audits are regularly carried out to highlight areas of improvement and these are supplemented by six-monthly compliance audits by the respective controlling bodies.
QA-Pipes
At Saint-Gobain PAM UK we regard quality as essential to the success of our business. From chemical and physical analysis of the molten metal to tight control of coating and lining applications, quality procedures have been developed to ensure consistently high quality of each individual pipe and fitting. Additionally, where required, every pipe and fitting is subjected to an internal pressure test during manufacture to secure permanently high performance.
The "quality-is-key" principle applies to every stage of the life of our products and also includes:
- Validation of suppliers and/or their materials
- Continuous assessment of quality systems
- On-going monitoring of product quality
- Technical support prior to and after sales
- On-time delivery of products and supporting information

EN598
Saint-Gobain PAM UK plc products comply with and are tested according to the relevant British, European and International Standards. All our pipes and fittings are manufactured under the quality management system BS EN ISO 9001: 2000.
Our ductile iron pipes and fittings for sewerage application conform to BS EN 598 and are kitemarked under the BSi registered approval scheme.
EN545
Saint-Gobain PAM UK plc products comply with and are tested according to the relevant British, European and International Standards. All our pipes and fittings are manufactured under the quality management system BS EN ISO 9001: 2000.
Our ductile iron pipes and fittings for potable water application conform to BS EN 545 and are kitemarked under the BSi registered approval scheme.
REGULATION 31
Providing safe systems for use with drinking water all materials in contact with potable water used by Saint-Gobain Pipelines are approved by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions in accordance with Regulation 31 of the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 1989.
All our products of small surface area in contact with potable water destined for human consumption have WRAS approval and are listed in the current "Water Fittings and Materials Directory" as materials which have passed full tests of effect on water quality.
