SOIL, VENT, WASTE AND RAINWATER SYSTEMS

Ensign is the only cast-iron drainage system to be awarded Kitemark approval to the product standard BS EN 877:1999 applicable to cast-iron drainage pipes and fittings for above and below ground applications.

The Ensign system also carries British Board of Agrement approval, Certificate no 95/3125, and meets international standard requirement ISO 6594.

The Ensign system consists of lightweight cast-iron socketless pipes and fittings in 50 to 600mm diameters, connected by means of a unique, two-piece ductile-iron coupling (patent no 2 305 481). The coupling incorporates specially-designed projections which fully satisfy electrical continuity requirements and the IEE Regulations.

Ensign includes and extensive range of access fittings, providing ease of maintenance throughout the pipe stack, and compression push-fit boss pipes which facilitate connections to 50mm UPVC and copper wastes, without costly adaptors. Also offered is a new range of multi-waste manifold connectors in 100 and 150mm diameters, allowing up to three waste connections to UPVC/copper waste pipes. Recently introduced are single and double long tail branches radius curve in 100mm diameter which avoid the need for a joint in the floor slab, and have up to 4 boss positions for waste connection.

Ensign was the first UK system to test to the criteria layed down in the new standard BS EN 14366:2004 (Laboratory measurement of noise from waste water installations). Test results have proved that Ensign  is significantly quieter than any system on the market, go to technical centre for more information.

Appearance
