Saint-Gobain PAM UK have developed interactive training modules for the Ensign and Classical Rainwater cast iron systems.
They have been developed to give an understanding of the design requirements, skills and knowledge necessary to carry out the installation and maintenance of cast iron drainage systems. The modules are ideal for installers, merchants, specifiers, architects and homeowners looking for greater guidance about our soil and drain products as well as essential installation tips.
Ensign
The Ensign interactive training module combines a 2D schematic design with virtual assembly and installation advice in accordance with the following criteria:
- BS EN 12056:2000 Code of practice
- Building regulations Doc H
- CIBSE Guide G, Public Health Engineering.
Classical Rainwater Systems
Saint-Gobain PAM UK has introduced a new online training module for its ranges of traditional cast iron rainwater and gutter systems to BS460.
The module covers a number of topics including the different markets for cast iron rainwater systems, guidance through the complete Classical, Classical Plus and Classical Express product ranges, and installation and maintenance details.
It also highlights the benefits of cast iron over plastic-based alternatives, including authentic appearance, longevity, acoustic qualities, ease of installation, and sustainability, with Classical products being manufactured from 97 per cent recycled material.
